Dr Eleanor Rees is a poet. She has published five collections of poetry, selections of which are translated into five languages. Her work has been awarded an Eric Gregory Award, a Northern Writers’ Award and shortlisted for the Forward Prize for Best First Collection. Her fourth collection The Well at Winter Solstice includes an afterword by philosopher Rosi Braidotti. Eleanor’s most recent collection is Tam Lin of the Winter Park (Guillemot, 2022). Eleanor is also developing a collection of lyric essays provisionally entitled, Eyes in the Wood: Encounters with Poesis and the More-than-Human. Eleanor has worked extensively as a local poet, on collaborations, commissions and community arts projects and regularly reads her poetry at readings and festivals. She is Senior Lecturer in Creative Writing at Liverpool Hope University.
